About this Rice Purity Test

This is the classic 100-question Rice Purity Test, rebuilt around two ideas: it should be fast, and it should not quietly keep anything you tick.

Why another one

The Rice Purity Test has been copied across the web for two decades, and most copies picked up problems along the way. Some dropped questions and still called themselves the 100-question test. Some weighted certain answers more heavily, so your score there does not match your friend's score somewhere else. Many are slow, buried in adverts, or ask you to sign up before showing a number you already earned.

This version fixes those specific things. All 100 questions are present and in the original order. Every question is worth exactly one point. The score appears the moment you press the button, because it is calculated in your browser rather than on a server.

What we store

The boxes you tick never leave your device. When your result appears, a single number — the final score — is sent to us so that the site can count how many tests have been taken and so a share link has something to display. That is the whole record: one integer, plus a name if you deliberately type one in.

There are no accounts, no email addresses, and no advertising trackers. Full detail is in the privacy policy.

What this test is not

It is not a psychological instrument. It was never validated, it measures nothing about your character, and the questions carry the assumptions of a specific American university culture from a century ago. A score of 91 and a score of 19 are both just counts of ticked boxes. We say this on the result screen too, because it matters more than the number does.

If you want the longer version of that argument, we wrote it up in is the Rice Purity Test accurate?
